Tap the ? button again to exit help mode. All times are given in the tide station's timezone, which is displayed in the footer, and are shown in 24-hour format.

Tide Chart
The interactive 36-hour tide chart shows water levels from 12 hours ago through 24 hours into the future. A gold "NOW" line marks the current moment. High tides are marked in red, low tides in teal. Sunrise and sunset appear as dashed lines, and nighttime hours are shaded darker. The green zone highlights the recommended beach walk window around low tide. Hover or tap anywhere on the chart to see the exact tide height at that time.

Choosing a Station
There are three ways to pick a tide station:
?station=8443970 for an ID, or
?stationName=Portland to search by name.
You can also use the URL parameters to share a link to a specific station
with someone else. For example, https://moon.boston/?station=8442645
will show the tide data for Marblehead, MA (using the Salem Harbor tide station).
You can find NOAA station IDs at: https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/tide_predictions.html
Your last-viewed station is saved automatically in a cookie in your browser, so the next time you visit you'll see the same station without needing to search again.
